The Drake House helps single mothers and their minor children who are experiencing valid and documentable homelessness. Families must have a 6-9 month tie to the North Fulton County cities of Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton and Mountain Park.  Ties include:  living in the area; children attending school in one of the Fulton County public schools; the mother’s employment is in the area; and/or the family worships in the community.

Should you be experiencing domestic violence, call the crisis hotline at (770) 887-1121, if you are in the North Fulton area or 404-688-9436 if you are in the metro Atlanta area, or your local police.

If you are in need of our services, please contact your child’s school social worker or one of the social service providers in the community listed below for a referral to our program.

If you live outside of North Fulton County, please contact The Gateway Center at 404-215-6645.  The Gateway Center is the coordinated access point (CAP) for individuals/families experiencing homelessness. They are located at 275 Pryor Street SW, Atlanta, GA  30303.


The Drake House provides short-term crisis housing, education and empowerment programs for homeless single mothers and their children in North Metro Atlanta, designed to provide stability for the children and assist the family in working toward self-sufficiency.

For the pre-opening on Saturday, January 14th from 9am to 1pm, diners are treated to a complimentary meal and then encouraged to donate to The Drake House. Reservations are encouraged.
