Success Stories

The greatest lesson that I learned from the Drake House is that at some point in time we all need a helping hand. There is always knowledge, insight, and resources available that would not have been gained unless our paths crossed with people of different backgrounds and life experiences. I have learned that it is okay for me to receive from others when I am in need. This has been a hard lesson for me because I have always been on the giving end.

Drake House Graduate

This place was my home for 6 months. Being accepted into The Drake House was truly a blessing to me and my children. The staff was great, the classes were absolutely necessary, informative, and needed. They put us up in a place of our own which was fully furnished and very comfortable. I thank God for the opportunity to have been a part of this program during my hard times and I’m even more grateful to have had the opportunity to get back on my feet all because of The Drake House.

When my family came here, we were really broke down financially, mentally, emotionally and physically.  I was so depressed and so disappointed with how we had ended up “Homeless” even though I had graduated from nursing school…. The Drake House met every single need that my family had…I’m just so happy and at peace. I was able to have some time for restoration financially, mentally, emotionally and most importantly my family.
