THE DRAKE HOUSE
Responsibilities
- Provide “ownership” of an apartment by painting and furnishing it, and providing that homey touch.
- Provide volunteers/employees to serve as advocates for the family.
- Advocates provide support and encouragement to the mom and each child while in the program. They also provide a connection to the community through knowledge of events, parks, and activities happening in the community. Mom advocates might help mothers with parenting or cooking skills, time management, etc. Child advocates might play cards or board games, teach a child to ride a bike, or work on a school project together.
- Gather volunteers to ready the apartment for the next Drake House family.
- Contribute $4800/year or $400/month for associated apartment upkeep.

Responsibilities

- Assist The Drake House graduate in securing furnishings and moving items into The Drake Village apartment.
- Identify two volunteers to attend training and serve as Budget Coaches for the family.
- Contribute $3600/year or $300/month for associated apartment upkeep.
