At The Drake House, we get asked “What is an empowerment plan?”
Our empowerment plans are created for each of our families during the first few days of moving into The Drake House. Working with their social worker, our mothers create a personalized plan to address any barriers that are keeping them from becoming self sufficient. Many times these include: obtaining affordable housing and child care; tackling debt, obtaining or improving employment, and more.
Each week, they meet with their social worker to track their progress and tackle any issue(s) keeping them financial stability.
